Super Cute Shoe Find: BCBG Pumps Monday, Oct 2 2006

I’m always looking for pumps that have something extra to make them look unique. These BCBG pumps ($110) fit the bill with their rope detaling and super sweet round toe. And considering they were normally $275, I’d say they’re a deal!

New @ Bluefly: Elegant yet Fun Jimmy Choo Pumps Friday, Sep 8 2006

I love Jimmy Choo shoes, but I don’t love the price. These pumps would be worth the splurge for me, if they only had my size. These are whimsical enough for me to feel like they’re super special, but elegant enough to keep around in my closet for years.

Jimmy Choo black crystal trim satin Kandy Pumps ($372)

Labor Day Sale Spotlight: Bergdorf Goodman Sunday, Sep 3 2006

I am always reluctant to get clothes at Labor Day Sales that I have to store for next year. Instead, I try to find stuff that I can wear into the fall – and maybe even winter. Here’s two finds like that from Bergdorf Goodman.

Juicy Coture Faux Fur Jacket ($177)

A classy alternative for those of us who want to wear something cheaper or kinder than real fur. Juicy Coture Runs big, so you may need to size down.

Bottega Veneta Kiltie Pump ($345)

I admit, these are a bit of a splurge. But they’re half off, and they would go good with almost anything. Cute with jeans, extra cute with work pants, and super cute with a wrap dress.

Comfortable Kenneth Cole Shoes Monday, Aug 28 2006

My newest shopping addiction is Kenneth Cole shoes. They’re so comfortable and stylish – and can be pretty affordable. I got these two pairs from Bluefly today, and they’re super cute.

Kenneth Cole Reaction – dark brown leather ‘Plant a Cede’ wedges ($43)

I am starting to come around to both wedges and Mary Jane type shoes. These shoes never look good to me online, but I’m always pleased with how they look on my feet.

Kenneth Cole New York – blue patent ‘Marcia Braidy’ slingbacks ($172)

These shoes are amazingly cute and worth the price for a splurge. They’re less Marcia Brady than the name implies, and they look awesome with jeans.

Not So Summery Shoe Sale Sunday, Aug 27 2006

I was just browsing through some Victoria’s Secret Sale Items (they do pretty well for some neutral basics), and I found a few pairs of super cheap sandals. While these are meant to be summer shoes, I think they would do quite nicely for fall and winter – depending on where you live. I can’t personally speak for the quality of these shoes, but the style seems very upscale. And for under $20, they’re definitely worth a try. They would all look great with jeans and evening wear.

Gold Strappy Sandal ($17)

Black H-Band Sandal ($20)

Corset Slide Sandal ($15)

How to Wear (and Not to Wear) Leopard Print Saturday, Aug 26 2006

I am tired of trying to remember whether animal prints are in or out! The truth is animal print is always stylish when worn correctly (and always tacky when worn wrong).

Animal prints look great as a tiny accent, like with these Alexander McQueen brown leopard pony loafer pumps:

Another option would be an animal print belt or bag. Just keep it minimal, and you’ll never look trendy. More importantly you won’t get sick of this look.

A bad way to wear animal prints? These Constanca Basto boots. While maybe someone out there can carry them off, they just look a tad trashy to me.
